I've got two modems belonging to a blind friend that need some help:
#1: A migent pocket modem that got plugged into 12V (instead of 9V)
accidentally. Need a schematic if at all possible, to figure out
what the part needing replacement is. It has "F2" and "F6" markings
on it, according to my friend. I'll try to get more detail on the
part if possible. Unfortunately, Migent is no more, so I don't have
a way to go to the manufacturer (unless somebody knows where the
Migent engineers are hanging out :-)
#2: A completely undocumented "RPTI Trans-Modem 2400" made by "RPT Intergroups
Int'l, Ltd.". Seems reasonably Hayes compatible. Has 4 dip switches
and 3 jumpers (JP1, JP2, JP3) that he'd dearly love to know about.
Especially if one of them enables CCITT compatibility! Anybody got
documentation for this?
Thanks!!!
Pete
