[comp.periphs] SCSI Source Guide information

buck@siswat.UUCP (A. Lester Buck) (10/01/89)

Several people have asked for further details about the SCSI Source Guide.

The SCSI Source Guide is a semi-annual analysis of SCSI products put out by

    Technology Forums
    80 West 78th Street, Suite 260
    Chanhassen, Minnesota 55317
    (612) 934-1415

It is about 500 pages, 8.5x11, typewritten. I think it costs about
$500/issue, so you really need to be interested to buy it. A client of mine
was configuring a lot of SCSI devices and and I recommended that they buy
it, so that is how I have access. If you are simply picking a SCSI disk
for your computer, you don't need it. If you are an OEM picking devices,
it might be very useful. If you are a SCSI device manufacturer, somebody
in your company might already have it.

Technology Forums puts on the (annual?) SCSI Forum, and they also
analyze the IPI and magnetic tape markets.
