[comp.periphs] want contact for Enhanced AT Attachment

The October 23 issue of PC Week, p. 9, has an article entitled "New Disk
Controllers To Provide Interface Support for EISA PCs". It discusses
something called the Enhanced AT Attachment (EATA) interface, which
is an extension to the de facto WD1003 standard for disk controllers.

"EATA was defined in September by a group of about 100 computer
peripherals manufacturers, including Maxtor Corp., Seagate
Technology Inc., Quantum Corp., Adaptec Inc., Western Digital
	Corp. and Distributed Processing Technology."

Does anyone know where to get information about this standard, other
than just writing blindly to one of the above companies?

And is the Mylex 32-bit SCSI board, which looks like a WD1003 to the host,
an implementation of EATA?
