We have a Xylogics 713 drive in a sun 3/E VME chassis. The CDC Wren-VI drives on it (drives 0 and 1) transfer at roughly the drive data density (10Mbytes in ~8 sec). The HP drives with 4000 RPM and more sectors/track transfer at 1/2 the speed.
