[comp.periphs] IEEE 488 adapters for VME and DEC BI systems

lamaster@ames.arc.nasa.gov (Hugh LaMaster) (02/28/90)

Does anyone know who makes IEEE 488 adapters for general VME (e.g. Sun)
and DEC BI based systems? Is there a single vendor source for both?
Are there Ultrix drivers supplied for the BI version (avoidance of Unibus
adapters preferred)?

Also, what do people do about moving DRW-11 (sp?) type boards they might have
for offbeat hardware to BI bus based systems?

Several respondents have reported that National Instruments makes such.
They sell Unibus, Q-bus, and VMEBus to IEEE-4888 interfaces.
