Does anyone have any experience with FAX machines which have RS232 ports for use with a computer? I'm looking to buy a FAX machine and wouldn't mind spending some extra bucks for one which can accept bitmaps from the computer for transmission and also double, when needed, as a scanner and printer. So far the least expnsive FAX w/RS232 that I've found is the Canon Faxphone 25 (just discontinued) at $999. Anyone know of any others in this price range? I don't mind writing the software, but are there any reasons why these machines wouldn't work well as scanners and computer FAXes? Jim Helman Department of Applied Physics P.O.
