I have recently picked up a Heathkit PC speech card that consists mostly
of a Votrax SC-02 chip. It comes with DOS software, but since I want to
use it under Unix, that's not of much use. (Yeah, I know about vp/ix.)
Can anyone suggest where I'd get info on the SC-02 chip? Is it still made
by Federal Screw Works? Where might I get text to speech software? In
about 1977 I recall that there was a Votrax driver for 6th edition Unix,
does anyone still have that around?
TIA,
