Recently I ran accross a Xebec 20 meg. disk that appears to not work properly. I don't recognize the drive interface. It has just one cable and I don't believe it's a SCSI drive. The problem I am having is when the drive is low level formatted with a program such as Disk Managerr or Speedstor it just hangs when I run FDISK. If I use a utility disk that came with the drive to do the low level format it seems to work ok until it gets to the very end where it updates track zero and gives an error. Then I use the partitioning software that came with the drive and that works fine. The problem is I can't seem to be able to write to the drive. When I run Norton Disk doctor it says everything is O.K. I tried to do low level format with Debug but it must not have a prom on it. The strange thing about it is I really don't think there is a hardware problem because before I formatted it the first time with DOS it worked fine except for some intermittent flaws. Anyone know anything about these drives
