[comp.periphs] QIC24 Autochanger?

steveb@hp-lsd.COS.HP.COM (Steve Bourgault) (09/26/90)

Apologies if this gets asked/answered a lot here, but I am new to
    this newsgroup.

Is there such a thing as a QIC-24 tape autochanger? What I would be
looking for would be a drive that would hold 6-18 tape cartridges in
the tape magazine. How about a QIC-150 autchanger?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

        Steve Bourgault

I know of no one who makes an autochanger for 1/4" cartridge drives. It
would be difficult to implement because of the load/unload mechanisms in such
drives. Anyway, if there is one for QIC-24 it would work for QIC-150 as well
(and vice-versa) because the tape cartridges are the same physical size.
