We have been waiting almost a year for the promised 386 UNIX driver and support software for the CMS Jumbo cartridge tape drive. CMS just called, and told us that the UNIX software is released. It is list-priced at $199.95 and shipping from stock. We have ordered a copy -- and we'll post comments on it when we've had an opportunity to give it a test. Meanwhile, if anyone else has already tried it, what are your impressions? Does it work? Did it crash your UNIX system? Anything I should know beforehand? Thanks. -- Dave Levenson Internet: dave@westmark.com Westmark, Inc. Doesn't ISC 2.2 supply support for this drive? One of the additional drivers they supply is a Floppy Tape Drive, which according to the installation manual, supports hardware from Irwin, Alloy, CMS, Wangtek and Mountain. Is there anyone using this driver in combination with the CMS Jumbo tape drive?

Software for the CMS Jumbo tape drive (DJ-10) is currently available directly from CMS, and should be available from distributors within the next 2 weeks. The list price *is* $199, but should be available at reduced cost from dealers. Use of this software is supported on SCO, ATT, Intel and Interactive System V UNIXs. It is also supported for SCO *386* XENIX (not 286).
