I wonder if some knowledgeable soul could set my mind at rest. Maths Reviews is now available on CD disks. However, search software is only provided for PC's or MAC's. We would like to get a CD reader for our SparcStation, for other reasons as well. (We would get a more recent version of SunOS with it.) Our problem is: will we be able to read the Maths Reviews CD disks? In other words, can Sun CD readers and PC CD readers read the same CD disks? If so, is there any compression involved in this format? And is the format, in any case, publicly known? It would seem to me that if the format is known, and does not involve compression, it should be fairly easy to put together a search program.
