Are there any vendors currently supplying read/write cd subsystems?

If you have had any experience with such a device would you be so

Sony will (is?) offering a cd-recorder. It is a two box affair with separate 
encoder/decoder and recorder. JVC and Mitsumi also have announced recorders.
