Built-in display list memory is 64 kb in the LN03; you can insert up to two
128kb RAM cartridges; this will not provide you full page graphics, but it can
handle more complex images than not having the cartridges in. I have no
information on whether this would be sufficient for MSWorks.

In summary: it's a new set of PROMs for the controller board and a bitmap
memory board. You get full page graphics, room for more fonts besides, Tek
4014 support, and some error handling odds and ends.

The LN03 will interpret the ANSI X3.64 command to select an italic font, IFF
you've downloaded one, otherwise the printer will fallback by underlining a
normal font. There are no built-in italic font files in the LN03 or
LN03-Plus. Many LN03 optional font cartridges do provide italic font files.
