Hello netlanders, I don't quite know if these are the right newsgroups for this problem, but I couldn't find better ones. We use a PITBOX to connect to a Stratus with a communications processor for the BSC 2780/3780 protocol. The PITBOX is sort of a box made out of cooling plates for power transistors, and it only has a powerplus and 2 db25 connectors, it's produced in the Netherlands by: INCAA Nederland bv Kruisweg 573 2132 NA Hoofddorp The PITBOX makes it possible to send/receive via a rs232 interface, on a dec terminal server. The connection is a point-to-point connection. Sometimes the communication hangs and one of the hosts gets into a WACK situation, and never gets out of it. Sorry but I don't know yet which side starts wacking. The only solution is to reset the communications processor on the Stratus side. So resetting the PITBOX and our modem doesnot help. The ACK/WACK handling in the protocol should (for our side) be completely handled inside the PITBOX. So on the async side we should not have to deal with this part of the communication. Has anybody ever connected one of these boxes?
