I've just acquired two Hewlett-Packard plotters: a 7221C and a 7475A. Would anybody have the programmer's manuals for these? (I need both, but especially the 7221). -- If you've got a hammer, If the only tool you have find a nail. is a hammer, you tend to see (George Bush, January 29, 1991) every problem as a nail. re: > I've just acquired two Hewlett-Packard plotters: a 7221C and a 7475A. > Would anybody have the programmer's manuals for these? (I need both, > but especially the 7221). The 7475A is still sold and the manuals are available: 07475-90000 $100.00 Service 07475-90001 $ 27.00 Programming 07475-90002 $ 10.00 Operation and interconnection The 7475A is an HP-GL plotter, and works with most HP-GL drivers. The 7221C speaks a unique "compact binary" serial language. Rather than write a driver for it, I would suggest that you convert it to HP-GL (effectively converting it to a 7220C) with the following 4-ROM kit: HP part number 07221-00020, and has a U.S.list price of $80.00.
