The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is currently developing an advanced airborne dual Doppler weather radar. The motion controller card for this system will drive the antennae in a single axis. This same card will be used to control a ground based pedestal in both the x and y axis. We are currently performing a market survey to find a motion control card that complies with the following specifications: - Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Output. - +/- 10 Volt Motor Control Output. - Dual Axis (X and Y) Control. - VME Rev. C Interface. - Pole / Zero Integrator. - Gain Control. - 12 Bit Minimum (14 Bit Desirable) Position Output. - 12/14 Bit Position Output Available in Under 20 usec. - Accepts Input from Incremental Optical Encoders. If your firm can supply a card with the features listed above, please contact one of the following: Reif Heck Craig Walther Design Engineer Design Engineer 303-497-2097 303-497-2054 FAX 303-497-2044 FAX 303-497-2044 craig@thor.ucar.edu Mailing address: NCAR/M.S.
