The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is
currently developing an advanced airborne dual Doppler weather
radar. The motion controller card for this system will drive the
antennae in a single axis. This same card will be used to control
a ground based pedestal in both the x and y axis. We are currently
performing a market survey to find a motion control card that
complies with the following specifications:
- Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Output.
- +/- 10 Volt Motor Control Output.
- Dual Axis (X and Y) Control.
- VME Rev. C Interface.
- Pole / Zero Integrator.
- Gain Control.
- 12 Bit Minimum (14 Bit Desirable) Position Output.
- 12/14 Bit Position Output Available in Under 20 usec.
- Accepts Input from Incremental Optical Encoders.
