We need a utility program that will convert a file of HPGL commands to either another file or direct serial port output to an HP 7221A plotter. It would be desireable if the scope of the input commands covered the HP 7220 plotter's capability. Source would be good, but exec ok if for ibm pc. If not familiar, the 7221 uses a compressed binary stream of commands, while hpgl is an ascii text stream. Thanks in advance for any help. -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Chuck Tamagni chuck@oetl1.scf.lmsc.lockheed.com Lockheed, Santa Cruz, Ca. work (408) 425-6177

There is a 4-ROM kit still available that will convert your 7221A/B/C/S from "compact binary language" to HP-GL. This effectively makes it into a 7220A/C/T. The kit is HP part number 07221-00020, and has a U.S.list price of $80.00. Contact your local HP Sales Office.
