A professor here has a price quote on a Sharp QA-1000 "computer projection panel". This is a 64-color LCD panel that works with a regular overhead projector to display a computer screen. It works with various PC and Mac displays. He has a quote of $4300. Can anyone relate any experience with this device? Any comparisons with other equipment on the market? Suggested vendors? Other suggestions and advice? Will summarize... This was just sprung on me today. Personally, I would rather buy disk space, since we have Kodak Datashow's for mono and do not have any color Macs nor color VGA PCs to drive this thing. It won't handle the scan rates of our Suns. C'est la vie. TIA, Chuck -- Charles Seeger E301 CSE Building Office: +1 904 392 1508 CIS Department University of Florida Fax: +1 904 392 1220 seeger@ufl.edu Gainesville, FL 32611-2024

For color LCD units I have been impressed by the Telex Magnabyte 6000 (except for its lack of brightness) and the nView ViewFrame Spectra. Haven't had a chance to look at the Sharp yet so I cannot directly compare. George
