Board Distribution: world

Hello,

I am looking for a way to hook up one of those moving LED message display
boards to one of our computers and need information on availability, etc.

I have seen one called `Moving Message', but I do not know who the
manufacturer is. Does anyone know of this equipment or anything similar
that can be plugged into a RS-232 interface?

Thanks in advance.

I need to copy disks for my old Epson computer(which I don't have with me).
I can copy the disks onto a 3.5 inch but when I try to copy from that
back to my 5.25 inch I am getting disk errors. I assume that these errors
are do to the different format of the CP/M O-S my machine uses. The
format for the machine is defined as 10 sectors/track, 512 bytes/sector,
and 2 system
tracks. If anyone knows how I can format my disks to those specifications,
where I can find a machine to do the straight copy on, or any relevant
info please drop me a line ASAP.

I have 2 questions:

1) Has anyone written code to convert HPGL output to something that a
DEC LLN03 can deal with (postscript is probably too much to ask for,
but . . . ) ?

2) Has anyone written code to convert postscript or HPGL output to
something that a Tektronix Phaser DX color laser printer can
understand ?

I imagine that this kind of code must exist somewhere, I just can't
find it.

Please send all responses to acook@athena.mit.edu. Any help you can
give is much appreciated. Especially if it means I don't have to
re-write all of my code. THanks in advance.

We are planning on networking a CD-ROM Server. The communication protocols we
are currently running are XNS and TCP/IP, and the network operating system
is Ungermann-Bass NET/ONE . We currently have a six drive Pioneer CD-ROM
Changer DRM-600 Laser Memory which was connected to the Ethernet and tested
for three clients accessing simultaneously. The response time was roughly
10.8min. We would like a product that has a response of roughly 300msec for
over 5000 users.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or information regarding this
matter.
