[comp.periphs] NEED PS-2 high density floppy drive connector pin out

sytang@lamar.ColoState.EDU (Shoou-yu tang) (06/26/91)

Does anyone knows the pin out for PS/2 high density floppy drive (1.44MB), it
has 40 contacts card edge connector in steaded of the normal 34 pins header
connector, so the power line must has been inbedded in the connector.
 Thanks.

Pins 1 through 34 are the same with the exception that pins 8, 26, 28 and
30 are tri-state as opposed to open collector. This means that ytou'll
need to connect 10 Kohm pull=up resisters from these pins to +5v. Pins
37 through 40 are ground +5v, ground and +12v respectively. This maps to
a 'standard' power connector as

37-------------------- 2 (ground)
38-------------------- 4 (+5v)
39-------------------- 3 (ground)
40-------------------- 1 (+12v)

I pulled this info from CIS a while back. It seems to work fine.

Hope this helps.
