In order to spare folk on the net potential administrative hassle: There is no such thing as a "Department" of Cognitive Science at Edinburgh University. There *is* a "Centre" for Cognitive Science at Edinburgh, but this is effectively a research-only organisation. Undergraduate Cog. sci. courses are largely presented by people from the centre but are not actually run by it. For cognitive sciency undergraduate programs (Joint honours Linguistics/AI) the people to talk to are: 1st The department of Linguistics 2nd The department of Artificial Intelligence (There is a also a joint AI/Comp.Sci. U.G. program) Andrew Stevens Andrew Stevens, JANET: as@uk.ac.edinburgh.aipna Dept. of Artificial Intelligence, ARPA: as%uk.ac.ed.aipna@nss.cs.ucl.ac.uk Edinburgh University, UUCP: ...mcvax!ukc!aiva!as EDINBURGH, Great Britain.
