Has anyone tried using the HP Multimux /X.25 PAD (HP 2334A [+]) with uucp
and the f protocol ?
The PAD seems fairly cheap and according to the description, it
should probably work. However, an awful lot of things can go wrong,
so I'd really appreciate comments from users before I make a
buying decision.
We need to be able to use the PAD for incoming and outgoing uucp
calls (dialin into a getty and dialout), also for outgoing kermit and
for incoming user logins. The PAD must be able to give an X.29
command to reset a remote PAD. Will all of this work ?
This particular PAD seems to need some flow control. Is that correct
and if so, does that interfere with the f proto ?
Some of you HP people must have tried this. Anyone else ?
