[comp.dcom.modems] Modems U-build-it

	Hi Everyone,
I was wondering whether there was a CHEAP way of building a
1200baud modem. I am fairly competant at electronic construction, though
I would like detailed instructions and/or schematics.
	Thanks Very Much,
	Pete

Agian I point to Rockwell. Also AMD makes a very nice one chip modem (1200)
called the World Chip. It handles the CCITT protocols for 1200.

To any interested parites, Try looking in the Exar handbook.
They only had one handbook the last time I checked, and it is very
nice. They tell how to build several things with Exar (what else)
parts, including modems. They are even nice enough to include
pcb layouts.
enjoy,
dan
