Sorry, folks. I seem to have been confused about Hayes Modems hanging
up automatically when +++ was entered. I posted something I 'knew' without
double-checking against reality, even though I do have plenty of real Hayes
modems about.
BTW, US Robotics modems *do* have the DIP switch that controls whether +++
hangs up or just enters command mode. Now I have to figure out why! Perhaps
Hayes 300 baud modems did and the 1200 buad didn't and the switch was added
for additional compatiblity?
