Does anyone know of products that handle the following sequence:
User calls computer
User gives password
Computer hangs up user
Computer calls back user at a predefined phone number
Computer then allows user to log in normally.
I am looking for this for some extra security of controlling who can
log into our system.
It would be nice if such a product was just a "black box" that
worked with existing Hayes compatable modems, otherwise I need it to have
2400 baud V.22 MNP support.

There are several multiline callback boxes. One, the NetGuard, is made by Avant-Garde (N.J.). There is another made by Leemah, which may be the OEM supplier to Avant-Garde, although A-G does add value. Digital Pathways also makes a system either with or without modems.

The system I got was LINE GUARD 3061 with 424 Error Free modems. A 5 phone line system cost about $5,000.
