A few months ago there was a discussion for a while about an interesting phenomenon involving a modem type that would pick up its escape chars ( as in the Hayes '+++' ) from line noise. At the time I went hmmmm... but now I am suddenly quite interested. A C-COR synchronously used modem on our broad-band network, connected from one VAX to another got to disconnecting during a particular file transfer ... only that one file, and eventually there was isolated a particular sequence of chars that was making the modems STOP. Dead. Has anyone else noticed this type of problem with C-CORS or anything else ?
