Many V.22bis modems in the U.S. employ Bell 212A and 103 fallback
signalling schemes. Could someone recommend a vendor that employs
V.22 signalling as the fallback for 1200 bps?
    Thanks,

Hello, The Digital Equipment Corporation DF224 (Scholar) modem supports V22A (1200) and V22B (600) as well as V22 BIS (2400). The documentation that I have indicates that the modem will fallback to 1200 b/s from the V22 BIS mode; however, as the documentation I have is preliminary, I cannot say whether the fallback protocol can be switched between V22A or Bell 212. When my modem has fallen back, I think it has gone to Bell 212 - though I cannot be certain. Eric Hildum
