[comp.dcom.modems] Tokyo dialups

     Does anyone have any experience with telephone dialups to Tokyo? and,
     if so what modems were used? We are experiencing a substantial degree
     of line noise, carrier drops and inconsistency in getting actual
     connects. The phone calls are made over standard toll lines between
     New York and Tokyo. Thanks in advance.
