[comp.dcom.modems] Shouldn't a Telebit with Compress go >> 19200 baud ?

I've been seeing all this discussion of how 1200 or 9600 baud modems can
get better throughput with MNP-5/Compress. Since the Telebit modem gets
a lot more than 9600 baud throughput *without* compress, and they have also
added compress, shouldn't it be capable of throughput faster than 19.2?

Well, Telebit, how soon will we see 38.4K support?
