[comp.dcom.modems] Real Time Data Compression

ruiu@tic.UUCP (Dragos Ruiu) (02/06/88)

For a projects course, my group will try to build a poor-man's trailblazer.
We plan to use a 6809 based board to perform compression and packetizing.
With only a 6809(2Mhz) advanced compression methods like LZW are right out
because of CPU power. Our plan is to use Huffman codes off several fixed tables
along with some kind of run-length encoding. Keeping in mind our strict CPU
limitation, can anyone provide pointers and/or advice for compression info?

Thank you. (please E-mail, I'll summarize if others are interested)

Hey, remember the one who pretended to be a super-villain to get beaten ?
     Whatever happened to him ?
He pulled it on Rorshach and Rorshach dropped him down an elevator shaft.
