[comp.dcom.modems] Upgrade Contract - Possible?

manager@marque.mu.edu (Steven M. Goodman) (03/25/88)

We have a bunch of TrailBlazer Plus' here at Marquette University
and not a one with the same firmware. To date we have had very
few problems with this modem but would of course like to stay
"up to date". I have to agree with a previous post as to an
idea of an "upgrade contract". Quite simply if TeleBit is going
to keep improving this modem I want to stay with it. Although
I can't see shelling out a check everytime. I would however be
glad to purchase a "contract" of sorts which would gaurentee
that upgrades be presented to us as they become available.

Perhaps this as an extention of a service contract. Besides
I don't have the time to keep watching for these improvement
nor finding out that there is a problem and that this has been
fixed in later models. If somethings is done, I would
expect the vender to make those individuals whom have bought
such contracts aware of such, and provide the materials and
	release notes needed to upgrade.
