Hi folks,
I just got an announcement for a 2400bps internal modem
for a Toshiba T-series laptop computers. I've seen requests
for this before, so I'm posting in the hopes of being helpful.
We no longer get this newsgroup, so please forgive me if this
is old news.
MultiTech Systems announced a new modem that goes along with
their 1200bps internal. The MultiModem 224TL works in the AC-
powered T3100, T3100/20 and T5100 computers, and the MultiModem
212TL (1200bps) can run in the above plus the T1100 Plus and
T1200. Neither modem runs in the T1000, nor do either support
MNP error correction. Both modems are shipping now, 2400bps
retail = $499, 1200bps retail = $299. Calling MultiTech at (800)
631-3500 will likely get you the name of a dealer.
