--- I have a friend who is evaluating modems for use internationally. His company will be using these modems for remote diagnostics ( via cu ) and UUCP to their international sites that have UN*X machines. He has looked at the Telebit and Trailblazer modems, but has found that cost and international certification has ruled these options out. He is now looking at the CODEX 2260 9600 baud modems for use in the U.S. and CODEX 2265 modems in the international locations in the Pacific. Their real challenge from past experience is to establish and MAINTAIN a login session to the remote site in Singapore from the U.S.. We would appreciate any feedback on this posting. ___ Dennis M.
