[comp.dcom.modems] Thanks from Telebit

rls@telebit.UUCP (Richard Siegel) (07/22/88)

Thanks to the over 100 respondents to my posting requesting information
about what modem features that you'd like to see in future from Telebit.
Due to the huge number of responses, I'm unable to post a thanks to each
of you, so this will hopefully serve the purpose!

I am still compiling statistics about what people wanted, but it looks like
V.32 and SLIP were the big winners, with fix autobaud and FAX modulations
as the next most desireable.

Telebit is very pleased with the response, and we're looking forward to
continuing to be "the Unix modem", as some of you referred to it.

Thanks again for your input, and rest assured that Telebit is listening,
and we'll have some interesting things to discuss in the future.

BTW, in case you're not aware, there is now an Async/SDLC version of our modem
(called the T2000), and a PS/2 version of the plug-in card (just introduced).

Regards,
