I use a Franklin Modem, Model FM-2400E. There are a few commands that the manual is not specific with, and once you lose your manual, your have a hard problem understanding anything to begin with. There is a large chart of commands on the back of the modem, but again this is not very informative. Most are of course, Hayes commands, so there is no big problem. However, there are a few which I have trouble understanding, particularly in their usage. If anyone out there has this modem, and knows how these command work, I would be thankful if you could mail or post me information on these command work (..as I search for the manual, which I think was thrown away..) Commands: Description: &Z Store phone number $N 0=Switch to normal, 1=Switch to reliable &T These commands seem easy to understand, however, whenever I try to execute them, I receive an error. The commands are in italics, so it makes me think they are simply symbols. I am mainly interesting in storing phone numbers, and then recalling them with dialing, etc. Thanks in advance. -- Chad Gibbons - System addresses: 1750 N.
