To those of you interested, here's where I am so far on hooking up the Telebit
to my Sun server. Comments are welcome, as I'm fairly sure this isn't optimum,
but hey, it works!
From the defaults, I have deviated only a bit, and I think some of it at least
is the Sun rather than the Telebit. The string I needed to get to the modem
to set it up was:
ATQ4X0S52=1S53=1S66=1S68=0
translated somewhat as
Q4X0 = Tell me as little as possible about what's going on with the connect,
cause I'm not smart enough to do much about it.
S52=1 = Modem is dicsonnecte dif DTR is off.
S53=1 = DSR is ON when modem is ready for commands. CD is on when Carrier
is detected.
S66=1 = Interface speed is locked, use flow control (I'm a bit shaky on
this one yet).
S68=0 = No flow control used (which is why I'm shaky on the above).
I did use their 'setup' program with a PC to get going initially. Those kinds
of little things DO help...
