[comp.dcom.modems] PC Pursuit dialers for UUCP

root@chief.UUCP (Lance Ellinghouse) (10/11/88)

Does anyone have UUCP dialers for PC Pursuit? Is there such a thing?
How could I get one if there is such a thing? It needs to run on
SCO Xenix 286 Ver. 2.2.1

Any help would be appreciated!!

The source for dial is in /usr/lib/uucp just so you can add your own
hacks for non-standard connection types. I suspect that you could get it
to work just by using a convoluted login script, but changing dial to
use PCP when available is easiest. Depending on your expertise it should
take 1-2 hours. If you don't speak C you are on your own.

I've written three of these, one of which was really complex. It's
time consuming but not particularly hard.
