Has anyone setup a Hayes V9600 modem for uucp? We have a pair and I
have tried to use them but have had little luck. It appears that you
need to set &k5 (error control mode) to get them to connect at 9600
baud. This works ok for mail less than 1K long, but anything longer
fails. Also, with error control mode set, even if one calls the other
at 2400 baud, uucp fails (due to error control mode). I know we should
have Trailblazers, but since we have these, is there any way to use
them for uucp at 9600 baud? Since we have no source, changing the
uucp protocol is probably not an option. Misc. facts - 1 machine is
a Sun 386i, the other is a Sun 3/50. Thanks.
