I'm looking for experiential and/or comparative comments regarding *high* speed leased line modems, particularly synchronous. Nothing under 14.4 (sync) or 19.2 (async). Any information you can give will be welcome, including experience with dial backup features, performance under bad line conditions, etc. I have an application that requires high reliability, high performance communications, but because long-haul leased lines are so expensive (and 56K digital is completely out of reach), I am trying to jam everything down one line. I understand that D1 conditioning will almost certainly be required. Please email any comments and I'll summarize for the net. Thanks in advance for all replies.
