[comp.dcom.modems] Racal Vadic Question

jjw7384@ultb.UUCP (J.J. Wasilko) (05/25/89)

I've got a Racal-Vadic Maxwell 1200V modem and I was wondering if there
is any way that I can disable the auto-answer mode permenantly. I can disable
it temporarily thru the software, but it returns to the default of
auto-answer upon powerup.

I've got anotehr question: I'm moving to Los Angeles in a couple of
weeks (and will be loosing a local connection to usenet). Does anyone
know of any public access Unix BBS's that carry Usenet news?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff
