I'm trying to establish a wide-area network using X.25 on (at least initially) dial-up lines. The host to NIU connection will be on V24 (RS232) and the rest of the network on leased voice-grade lines using X.25. However, we'd be making a dialup international connection and this may possibly be routed via satellite. I'd like to get some background info on: Reference info (pointers to a good, practical book would be nice) Available products (Modems, PAD's ,etc.) Unix-based software for mail, file transfer, remote login, etc. Experiences you've had with X.25 on both local anD@international connections. Please send mail to me at the address below and I'll summarize if there's interest. Thanks, Gihan --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet: dias@iris.ucdavis.edu Bitnet: gdias@ucdavis Janet: dias%iris.ucdavis.edu@uk.ac.nsfnet-relay UUCP: ucbvax!ucdavis!gdias
