[comp.dcom.modems] Need info about Telebit T1000 ...

bill@idsssd.UUCP (Bill Wallace) (06/23/89)

I am posting this for a friend. They would like to use Timbuktu Remote
from Farallon Computing. They have been looking for a decent 9600 baud
modem. I have the Telebit TrailBlazer Plus at work and am very impressed
with it. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the
T1000. I noticed that The MacZone was selling it for $749. Please
E-mail any suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Bill Wallace

I have install a T1000 on an HP9000/310 (soon to be 332). So far all
has been well, I'm getting about 800-900 baud through put to a TB+.
The main reason I got it was for news feed, and that it was easyer to
justify $600 for a T1000 than $1040 for a TB+.
It doesn't have V32 or MNP above 4, but it does have the UUCP protocol
built in.
