Is anyone used the Microcom QX/V.32c modem with cisco terminal server. The QX/V.32c suppose be able to transfer data up to 38400 bps but only 2400 bps is working with the terminal server for me. When I dial up to the other QX/V.32c and it said connected 9600. The terminal server do the autobaud and detect a 2400 bps connection. If I set the terminal server port to 9600 bps, the connection will give me funny characters which mean theat data rate is not correct. Any idea ? I am looking for modem to set up a dial up modem pool. Is 9600 bps good enough for SLIP applications? Most "high speed" modem have a lot of functions build into the box that I don't really need(eg. security call back, dial out etc.). What I really need is the modem can pick up a call, autobaud, high speed and some remote diagnostic capability. Any suggestion of such modem?
