I just purchased a Migent Pocket Modem (1200 BAUD) for my Commodore 64. (It is the one being nationally advertized by Computer Direct.) I have been unable to get it to work so far. I have the necessary RS232 interface cable, so the trouble seems to be with the internal software switches of the modem. The user manual mentions methods to set these switches and says to run the programs on the included diskette. These are called PMSETUP and PMSTATUS, but they are not on the diskette that I received. The only program on it is called X-MODEM.COM which appears to be a dailing program and I can't seem to use it to change the switches. If anyone out there with a C64 that purchased one of these and got it to work could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Please E-mail only because I usually don't read these newsgroups.
