Hi, we are looking out for an interface wich converts Fax Information to normal ASCII files. The problem is to extract the ASCII Information without of every incoming Fax Document. Unfortunately, about the only way you're going to be able to convert a FAX document into ASCII form is by scanning the bit image FAX graphics attempting to recognize characters. It's a relatively simple process if the document uses a known font or typeface, but handwritten FAXes or esoteric fonts or typefaces are probably a horror. What system/os do you need this for? Several products are already on the market to address this issue.
