How do I write an external protocol file for Procomm Plus? is it easy
to write?

You don't need to write a file. All an external protocol is, is a program
that is capable of down/up loading data, eg DSZ or LYNX. All you have to do
is assign a 'hot-key' from procomm or any other terminal program that you have.
