I'm not sure that this is the appropriate group, apologies if it isn't. I have just obtained a Toshiba T5200 laptop. I had an Intel 2400B modem installed in it. Well I'm having a rotten time trying to get the thing to work right. If someone out there has this configuration working, could you clue me in on the settings that make it all work? By the way I ran the Diagnostics Program TESTCOM.EXE and everything checks out but one thing. I have it attempt to call the Intel BBS -- It makes the call but the program never acknowledges the BBS. Similarly I can get the thing to phone other computers using MTE,SCOM and ST240 sometimes but I never get a response. I can't help thinking that there must be some special configuration using the dip switch settings and setting the IRQ levels that I havn't happened upon yet. Thanks for any help in advance.
