I would like any information on the subject of Fax's. I have read the CCITT Red book on this matter. I understand how a physical Fax machine can scan an image, and generate a bitmap. My question is this: Does anyone know how to say, scan a file on a computer to generate the bitmap. I want to be able to Fax a file from my mainframe (Assuming of course all the hardware is provided.) All I need is a way to generate the original bit map from a computer file. Assume for the moment we're dealing with ASCII text. ANY help would be appreciated... Reply to me directly to ensure receipt of your replies. Again, thank you.
