Agreed, but a Telebit Trailblazer is 9600 already and a TB+ is approx 19.2K
(actually 18K+).  So it might be possible that Telebit only needs a ROM
upgrade to get it to recognize V.32 besides its own protocol.

I believe Telebit uses trellis encoding in their multi-channel scheme (they
divide the telephone band into 512 channels).  Anyway, I have a TB+ but have
not upgraded the ROM in it so I don't know if that's all I need to get V.32
If that is so, I'd be a happy camper :>.  Justified the large sum of money
(it was for me at the time) I spent on the TB+.

Not so.  There is a ROM upgrade to fix some bugs and to implement a
higher level of MNP, but in order to upgrade to V.32 you have to send
the modem back to Telebit for a hardware upgrade.
