I am posting this for a colleague of mine in the U.K. =============================================================================== I have encountered some problems with using the Trailblazers for a uucp connection between two Sun's running SunOS. The problem is this: I am using a Trailblazer to call a V22bis modem (with MNP error-correction) from a Sun386i to a Sun3-110. Both are running SunOS 4.0.1. The V22bis modem is able to answer the call, but immediately after it gets the connection the Trailblazer hangs-up. The error reported by uucp is 'UNKNOWN DIALER ERROR' (see debug output below). Using dialer type ACUHAYES dialing Hayes 0\015ACU write ok \015Line open failed, UNKNOWN DIALER ERROR dcr returned as -1 On looking at the conversation between the modem and the port on the Sun using a protocol analyser, the output from the Trailblazer after the call is answered is "<CR>1<CR>" (I have the option X0 on). When I tried an identical connection to the same V22bis modem on an Apollo, the uucp login succeeds, and the output from the Trailblazer after the call is answered is just "1<CR>". The problem seems to be this extra "<CR>" when talking from Sun to Sun. Note - the same thing was noted when the Trailblazer was on a Sun 2/60 with SunOs 3.5. Any suggestions please. Thank you very much. =============================================================================== Please direct replies to: Leon Howorth, Racal-Redac/HHB, Mahwah, N.J.
